Types of Welding Technology

Welding is a process of connecting two separated objects into a whole by combining atoms (molecules) with energy. Welding method can not only connect metal materials, such as steel, aluminium, copper, titanium, etc., but also non-metal, such as plastic, ceramics, and even solve the connection between metal and non-metal, which we call engineering welding. The structure manufactured by welding method is called welding structure, also known as engineering welding structure. According to the object and use, it can be roughly divided into four types: building welding structure, tank and container welding structure, pipeline welding structure and conductive welding structure. The so-called building steel structure includes these four types of welding structure. The main welding methods are manual arc welding, gas shielded arc welding, self-shielded arc welding, submerged arc welding, stud welding and spot welding.
